Charles Wardlaw is the founding member of the Onyx Senior Honor Society. He remains involved with the Thouron Award and has been a member of its US Selection Committee for 25 years. His career in industry included executive positions in four multinational companies across multiple industries. A strong believer in service to pay back and pay forward, Wardlaw has served as an officer on four not-for-profit boards, including the Penn Engineering Alumni Society, the School in Rose Valley, the Settlement Music School of Philadelphia, and the Louis August Jonas Foundation (LAJF). LAJF’s mission is to develop promising young people, from diverse backgrounds, a lifelong commitment to sensitive and responsible leadership for the betterment of their communities and the world.
